State Authorities have determined the list of schools being threatened and circulated online is a hoax. The screen shot being posted on social media is not a threat but someone posting a message about that threat. Grady County Schools will have all officers on standby at all schools. The screenshot has been sent to state and local authorities.

Shiver's school theme this year is "Our School Rocks, and That's How We Roll". We will be looking back with our Monday Memories sharing pictures as well as the top rock and roll song of that year. We hope you enjoy this look into our past as a school!

** ATTENTION PARENTS AND GUARDIANS**
After redeterminations for Medicaid that ended in May, many students may have lost healthcare coverage, leaving them without necessary medications and treatment. PeachCare for Kids is a medical assistance program that provides healthcare coverage for Georgia children in low-income families. PeachCare and Medicaid currently provide over 1.9 million children with healthcare benefits and, for little to no cost, can help students and families who might find themselves without coverage.
Please review the memo linked below, which includes additional information along with resources you can share with families during back-to-school events like Open House and registration. Families need access to information regarding PeachCare now. Communicating the availability and links for application could provide families with life-saving information.

Shiver Summer Hours

“Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else.” Mr. Fred Rogers
All of these ladies have poured wisdom and knowledge into not only their students but their fellow coworkers. Shiver School is going to miss them dearly. Whether they are retiring or beginning a new adventure elsewhere, we wish them all the best!

Here at Shiver School, we would like to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who participated in our Book Blast Book Drive.
We consider it a huge success! In two short weeks, with the help of the community (far and wide), the students at Shiver Elementary School earned over 1,378 brand new, age-appropriate books. That’s at least 1 book for EVERY student (PreK – 8th Gr) and up to 10 Books for some. This also means that the Shiver Library received 1 of each grade level set for a total of 100 books.
Not only did students earn the books but we had 9 teachers each receive a $100 shopping spree for classroom books and supplies.
On Monday morning, students received their books and prizes. They were so excited to open their packages and see what books they had received.
THANK YOU again to all who helped us provide books for home libraries and summer reading!!!

In addition to schools and offices being closed tomorrow, all evening school events are canceled including the CHS Band Concert and FFA Banquet this evening.

If you have a student that rides Bus #12 - 69 please join the Remind. Bus updates will be sent in the event of route delays.

GAME DAY HAS BEEN MOVED TO THURSDAY, MAY 9th, due to weather forecasted on Friday.

Thank you Teachers and Paras!

Please join us for these upcoming May events!
